Texas to Bring Back Pet Euthanasia by Firing Squad

Earlier today Texas became the first state to reintroduce the option of euthanasia by firing squad for any state citizen that has a pet ready to cross the rainbow bridge. The controversial method of putting down one’s pet via firing squad has been argued to be inhumane by left leaning groups, as well as right leaning groups. The bill that was introduced earlier this year was said to be inspired by a similar bill that quickly moved through the South Dakota legislature until it was shot down once former governor Kristi Noem resigned to become the United States Secretary of Homeland Security. No other state is expected to follow in Texas’ footsteps currently. If requested by a Texas citizen, this method of euthanasia will be the first instance since 1922.
